What's the worst camera you've used / the worst picture you've had accepted on alamy?
Would an Ixus 75 give a reasonable enough picture to pass through, for example?

I've had stuff accepted with my XT using both the 18-55 kit lens and the 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III. Neither are 'bad' if used under the right light conditions.
And to broaden the overall range.. it now includes shots taken with the 30D and 40D, and with each of the various lenses in my siggy.

I never knew I was such a **** photographer until I began exploring the stock photo sites...
I've been rejected by everyone I have submitted to....
Composition....
Camera Shake...
White Balance....
and more....
Just a few...
I spent the night at Border's reading photography books....I feel like a complete loser. I've been doing concert, and MMA work for over two years and never has heard such negative **** about my work.
I've been out of work since June, so I thought stock photography may be an outlet for me to bring in some money, but I keep getting rejected....What a joke! Sure doesn't help the depression...
Anyway, I won't stop trying to get in.
What is really aggravating is when I look through images, then submit something that I feel is on the same level, and it ends up getting rejected.
The main idea of my work is for editorial use, they don't see it that way...
Whatever!
I'm just going to have to go back out there tomorrow and start shooting again...
Alamy is my real goal, but being rejected by sites that offer a quarter an image, and then feeling bad about it, that's just dumb on my part, but at this point, money is money...

I wouldn't bother with the cheap sites that want to sell your photo for $1 etc, you'll never make money that way IMO. Concentrate on Alamy, take on board their reasons for rejecting, and try not to make the same mistake again. Sooner or later you'll break through! ;)
btw, i've never tried submitting anything to these sites, just at the reading up stage at the moment. This thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=559642&highlight=alamy) has some very useful links on it, if you haven't stumbled across it yet. ;)

Thanks Beano! I'm still having a bit of trouble, let me know how it goes! I'm not trying microstock for a while though...
