Was out playing with my new toy today. These were taken at 10mm..

Pretty neat!
As a retired US Navy Diver, I find it interesting that the boat is named for Carl Brashear. I first thought the thread might have been about the Military Sealift Command supply ship named for his that was built here in San Diego.

I found it odd also for this NNFD boat to be named after a navy diver...
But its pretty neat...
Navy diver eh!!! I did 24 years Air Force on C-130's myself...

When I was doing my Navy Reserve time, I had met a CMC that studied under Carl. It was neat talking to him. Being a corpsman, I seriously considered dive school. My ex-wife wouldn't permit me to be gone that long (we had kids). I regret not going to dive school.
I also thought that the USNS ship, not the fireboat, was the Carl Brashear.
