Bring some decent weather for the BTCC, last year was a bit Jekyll & Hyde with blazing sun on the Saturday and the worst Rain i've ever seen on Sunday. CSCC will be nice & quiet though.

There will be a decent POTN presence at both meetings and we all usually get together & insult each other at some point. Shout up nearer the time and we can hurl abuse at you too ;)

This first race weekend has been a long time coming. Hoping the Equipe GTS series gets a good entry. Nice to see some classic cars on the circuit, but with two 30 minute races I hope they have a decent field of cars or it could get just a little bit boring.

Snetterton both days this weekend. Its the HSCC and Saturday they will be running the Autosport 3Hrs for historic sports and GT cars. The entry looks very good again this year. Sunday is all single seater apart from a 40 min historic saloon car bash. Should be good and the weather should be OK too. Fingers crossed.

Started raining at 8am, racing stopped at 10am and Donington & BRSCC dithered. Called an early lunch and at 2pm abandoned the meeting (by then they were 4hrs behind schedule)

Standing water at Old Hairpin but also at the new tunnel section and rain caused part of the circuit to subside (apparently). They'd tried pumping it but there was so much waterlogging it didn't make any difference.

The annual Lotus festival over 2 days at Snetterton this weekend. A varied selection of racing, parades and demos over the weekend. Even got a Lotus 72 F1 car amongst other interesting machinery. Also the club are hoping to break the world record for the biggest number of Lotus cars on a track at the same time in their circuit parade. Wish I had a helicopter !!

This coming Saturday is the Round the Island Race. No engines, unless you count getting to the start line, just flappy white stuff (sails). Almost 2000 boats take part so plenty of subject matter for a keen 'tog.

Next weekend is the British MotGP at Donnington. The big weekend for me. Driving up on Friday with a rented 500 f/4L plus my usual kit. I do hope the weather is settled, it was horrible on the Saturday last year and I got very wet and very cold.

No idea where to shoot from yet. We've got paddock passes and I've no idea what options that gives me, but I gather the grandstand on Sunday will be outside Redgate. I'm assuming that most of my shooting will be on Saturday.
