Practice day at the Motorsix: Inter Nations Motorcycle Challenge at Donington Park.

A very mixed bag but looks like fun in store tomorrow.

These guys don't ride them like they cost that much :-)

Nice shots, but they seem to be cropped a little tight to me. I'd like a bit more space in front of the bikes for them to 'move' into. I'd be tempted to go to this tomorrow if it was a bit closer and I didn't have a GP to watch when I get up in the morning.

Kills me that I could have bought one here in the States for ~$7000 about 20 years ago! But then again, I didn't have an extra $7000 20 years ago.

BTW, _LOVE_ your screen name (those are my initials!).

Oh, one other thing I kick myself for, was not buying the '59 Gold Star for $2500. Complete bike, 2nd owner. Guy that was selling it had inherited it from his uncle. Had absolutely NO idea what he had. My daughter was due in about 2 weeks, and my wife (now ex-wife) would have KILLED me if I had dropped $2500 on a bike. I'd probably still have the bike. I've still got the '79 Bonneville Special that I bought in '80.

Neil,

You want to talk about driving stuff w/o any regard to the value, 3 or 4 years ago, I was at one of the tracks over here (Summit Point, WVa), and there was a guy there w/ a '66 T70 out for a practice day w/ a bunch of guys getting ready for a 12hr endurance race. Mind you, this 12hr race is an amateur club race, and has cars that are worth as little as $2000 - $3000 in it. In fact, you could have probably bought the entire field for what that T70 was worth. And here's this guy hanging it out on a practice day w/ a bunch of wankers! Car was drop-dead beautiful!

Just thought I would add an example of what happens when the guy that picks your wheel colours is colour blind :-)
