whats so lame about my critique. in my opinion the DOF is too shalow it even blurs out part of the water drop.
i have noticed here that nomatter how ****ty the picture posted is every one says "awsome picture" "great shot" "looks good" those kind of comments are useless. Everyone here just praises all the pictures even if they are bad. how is a person going to progress and get better when there are just a bunch of yes men here.
on this picture you posted i said i liked it the comosition and lighting was good. But i alsno said that the horizon was slanted , was that a bad critique or not.
Usually you say "meh' Which does nothing for the poster or anyone else?
I agree that its too shallow.give it another go.;)

I like the DOF. Really, for me , it's what makes the photo interesting. It gives a good feel of texture. With a wider DOF you just have a picture of water on a tomato. I know that's what it is but this is a unique way of looking at it.
To each his own I guess.

I think if it was a tad further down from the droplet it would be fabulous.

well .. its a the characteristic of the reverse lens ... a shallow DOF but i just make use and point it just where it needed. thanks for those who consent about shallow DOF and also love it .. Thanks again guy ... :D

It's definitely NOT too shallow... it almost looks like a road the droplet is going to take.. i love it as it is and would not change it!

Looks like a sweaty nipple. I suppose shallow DOF will do that. Some captures look better with DOF being shallow.

F/0?? !? Holy cow! :-)
Seriously, I like it, but the DOF did need to be a bit "softer". I'm not 100% sure on how to do with the reverse lens trick.

You do realise the thread starter 'reversed' the lens and didn't use a macro lens. It's very difficult to experiment with DoF when you're using a standard kit lens to take close up shots.
I love this image, keep up the fantastic work!

I like this. I agree the DoF is a little shallow for my tastes. However it is an xperimental shot and I find it works for the most part. It for sure, is interesting to look at.
