I thought I'd read somewhere that EFS lenses would not work on a 10D. Is this correct?
Thanks!

Yes... EF-S lenses are for 20D & 350XT only.

I've read that people have hacked the lens/camera body to be able to use EF-S with the 10D but personally can't see the point.
Apart from the mount, I believe the mirror size prevents you using the lens with the 10D.

I've hacked one and it works fine. And you don't need the epoxy that everyone talks about either.

EF-S lenses and the EF-S lens mount were invented after the 10D came out.
The 300D (Digital Rebel) was the first camera with EF-S mount.
