The images are very nice (with the B+W one being a lot nicer than the other), but they are very close. Too much left out for me to be really interesting.

Are the band members so ugly or was the venue too bad to show it?

The only problem was that the gig was in a pub and to show more of the shot, it makes it look like they are playing in someones living room!

I like the first one - low exposure leaves an arm and a bass guitar. The second one might benefit from turning up the light (add gamma, shadows; move the histogram to the right - whatever).
