The weather has been really wierd recently. The weather was really lovely on thursday, bright sunshine and a feeling of spring in the air. I decided to dress down and so went into work wearing a t-shirt and sandles. By the time I left in the evening it was thundery and freezing. I caught this while I was cycling home, just before being drenched in freezing rain. Not much fun  http://www.pbase.com/sam_blackie/image/41873674/original.jpg

You're right - I was there for the weekend - SO cold! (Good to be back in warm sunny Hastings...:)

On Friday we had the following:

Strong winds
Bright sunshine
Max temp 3 deg Celcius (35 F for our friends over the water)
Min temp -1 deg C (30 F)
Snow
Rain
Hail
The song Four Seasons in One Day was obviously written after a trip to London!

Great shot BTW! Super vantage point....where were you?

Thursday's weather was really extraordinary, I was cursing myself for not taking the camera in to work. The air was so clear you could see for miles, but the sky was so dark, and yet the sun was coming through. Glad to see someone got a nice photo out of it :D

Thanks all! http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

andygrif - where was it taken? Helpfully, petergull has taken a picture of the exact location. Have a look at the bridge in the bottom right of his photo (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=491006&posted=1#post491006)

Wintoid - I've bought myself a backpack with a camera compartment in the bottom. That way I can take it into work every day without anyone knowing I'm carrying an expensive camera around.

Incidentally, I know what you mean about the clear air. I really wanted to get up somewhere high and get a view across london. Unfortunatly I was in meetings all day and didn't get chance.

Thanks everyone!

Marie - yeah, the backpack is great. I take it everywhere now. I bought it in this great little camera shop on the Strand. It's called the London Camera exchange or something like that, next to Simpsons. I'd definately recommend them if you are after some gear.
