As a G1 owner which have spent hours on the Dpreview.com forum, I must say that this looks really good.

The best thing is that it isn't necessary to wait for downloading each reply of the different topics. When you open a topic you get all the replies at the same time - superb!

Good work Pekka!

Hello, this is a beautiful forum.
My name is Jenny, and I am from Seattle, WA in the United states. I bought my first digital camera after debating about it for over a year. I chose the Canon G1. I have no regrets. I also shoot with a Canon AE-1 Program.

It took you a year to decide? That's good. I just researched it for a few weeks and splurged! Probably not a good way to buy an expensive item, but it worked out for me.. :)

This is a much better layout for a forum than dpreview.com's, although there's is pretty good and has a lot of good info.

Hi everyone,

OK, I must confess that it only took me one week to decide on Canon G1.

As I am relatively new to digital photography, I hope to learn as much as possible from this forum.

Thanks Pekka for hosting this great forum :)

PS : Pekka, your gallery is superb, keep it coming !!

I was saving my money for the camera, I originally had a $400.00 budget, but I figured, I should just go for the camera I really wanted! I am really enjoying it so far, but I live in Seattle, and as soon as I made my purchase, it started to rain all the time!
