to me they just aren't unique, not that they are not good photos, but i just will not remember them.

...a homeless person pushing a basket down the middle would make me remember this, i'm just saying it looks common, not bad.

I'm new so show me what is unique that you have done so I will know better what to do

I don't care for the second photo. It appears to be tilted to the left, it's unbalanced, and I suspect that's not intentional, and my eye is lead to the middle/left of the pic. It's one of the brightest parts of the photo, and our eyes naturally gravitate to the lightest parts. In addition, the tilt and trees lead that way.
I really like the first photo. The road leads me into the photo and I don't want to get out of it. The road is blown out, and perhaps more detail would enhance the pic, but maybe not. There appears to be some vignetting, don't know if that's intentional, but all in all, a great photo.

First things first.....LOVE the avatar....best one on this site! I moved from Boise not long ago, and I love the Broncos.
I like the potential of your first one a lot, of course it's tough to critique as is. Composition-wise I do like it. Post larger versions when you have the chance.

I'm just saying if you look in flickr you will see thousands of pics just like this one, so to make it memorable you may add an "element" that adds a pop.

I like the reflective surfaces of the puddles in the second one. I feel if it were straightened and your office didn't "f" them up, then it would be real nice. Hard to tell though. ;-)

I like both of them now. That color is real REAL REAL cool! Color is not perfect yet but you are def. on the right track! The second one is good. I like how the road is not dead center and the trees help with accentuating that. It is a little crooked. Look at the horizon line to see it leans a bit to the left.
