..or so it seems. There's a small, free zoo near my home and my boy is old enough now to really enjoy seeing the critters. He talked to this American Cream Draft horse for a good 15 minutes or so. I got a number of shots of them, but this one struck my fancy most.
Suggestions? Thanks for looking.

Yep, like the shot too! Really shows the rather large size of the horse compared to the young lad--it's head larger than the entire boy! He doesn't seem one bit apprehensive being so close to an animal that large. that in itself, make the photograph interesting.

Nice shot... With a shorter dof, you might have blurred the bg a bit and really focussed attention on your son and the horse. Still a definite keeper... That is one big horsey...

Awsome picture! I disagree with the shorter depth of field. I like the barn in the bg being in focus. It adds to the farm feel. Once again wonderful shot!

That's the beauty of opinion... If I saw it with a shallower dof, I might very well agree with you, but I'd like to see it before I concede any points...lol

Thanks for the feedback everyone!! I basically took the shot from the Horse's eye level...next time I think I should get lower and do it from Charlie's eye level... i think that will make the horse look even more imposing and Charlie look even more "brave".
This was actually "pony" in that she was very short (about 14 hands)...Thanks for looking!
