Hi All,
Im about to design my website (I use joomla) and just wondering what colour I should think about using for the background etc? I can't decide on Black or white

What type of photos do you take?

Generally I'd say black with white/light grey writing (darker backgrounds make the pictures stand out more). But it all depends.

If you take photos of antiques, maybe a brown colour palette would be better for example.

Emergency services (Fire & Police), Landscapes, Product, Wildlife.

I'd say black with white writing then. Those things are more of a serious subject (emergencies and all). :)

Mostly, Black with white writing, Heading are in different colors (depends on the pics you show)

I say black with white writing, but keep all the pages the same. I hate looking at a dark coloured website then looking at a bright coloured website after. It makes my eyes go funny.
