Hello,
I'm new to macrophotography and I need your help for finding a low budget solution for a mini tripod. I allready have a tripod, but it's too big for all the cases and I need something like Joby gorillapod. Did anybody use one of this? It seems to be perfect for me but I still need an advice.
Thank you very much for your help.

Depends HOW BIG your camera body & what lens you use.
I have that same Gorilla Tripod and I must say that I have to throw it to the rubbish bin.
That tripod is constructed with plastic & rubber, very fragile. It's actually designed for light-weight cameras like Nikon Coolpix series, not DSLR. Don't even bother using the tripod with 100mm Macro USM or anything bigger than Canon 400D, you'll spend most of your time playing around with the tripod than taking photos with your camera.
If you really want this kind of tripod, I suggest you wait until the newer, tougher version of the aluminum gorillapod comes out sometimes in the future.

There's already different types of gorillapod designed for SLR and heavier gears. Look for the Gorillapod SLR, SLR-Zoom & Focus.

I meant Joby gorrilapod SRL-ZOOM. They say this tripod holds weight up to 3 kg. I think my camera 400D+ Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro and 430 EX has not more than 2 -2,5 kg and it`s ok. What do you say?
Sorry for my bad English.

I've used this quite often if I am low down. Started a thread here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=396838). a while back and posted some results here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=385007). As mentioned you do need the SLR Zoom version of the Gorillapod
Here's the setup shot.
