Just got back from 6 days in Italy with my wife who is doing a story on this car. Not had time to process much yet but this is the first one that grabbed me. More to follow if anyone is interested :-)

Thanks guys :-)
The paint job is a special matt white that they do - makes the car look like satin or pearl - truly gorgeous :-)

I have some pics we took at the factory which show the Murcielago in orange - it is indeed a stunning colour. I'll try to post them up later.

Beautiful car, I considered joining the police force and then transferring to Italy just to have a chance to drive one of these ;)
I'm more curious on the story your wife was writing, though! Where can we see it?

90% of the time it was me. I did get a bit selfish but she seemed to be happy with that!

Many thanks :)

The natural light was pretty good although the sky was heading towards stormy. I just did a slight simulated Grad filter on it, lightend the wheels a bit and sharpened. I tend to oversharpen if anything. Was this ok?

We took a look around their museum at the HQ before we took the car. There they have a copy of the 2 Gallardos that they donated to the Polizia (motorway police). Scared the hell out of me! I had been thinking that the car would have a certain advantage vs the cops :( I made another post showing that particular beast :-)
My wife is working on a number of outlets for various articles about the car/area/restaurants and hotels.

Here are a few more quick edits of what I took. It was actually quite tough to get clean shots of the car because every time we parked it somewhere, it was surrounded by tourists all taking shots of each other standing next to it and taking photos. Although it was a bit annoying, you could not help but be impressed by the reaction the car caused and the obvious fascination people have with Lamborghini. This sort of hit and run approach was not of our choosing. We had locations set up but we were rained off so we had to just go for whatever chances cropped up. What with that and the lack of luggage space for kit, it was quite a challenge to get anything usable. C&C appreciated but be specific - I want to improve each of these shots.

Good series! I'm on my laptop, so I won't comment on the contrast, but I'd like to see the gauges lighter in #6.
#1: You had to make some tough choices there. A higher angle probably wouldn't look good & a lower one would have lost the buildings, so I might have tried parking it closer to the barrier so the railing didn't intersect the roof line.
So... did you get paid for shooting these? ;)

I look forward to any advice you have once you see these on your normal machine.
Completely right on the angles. We had no permission to shoot there due to the issues mentioned earlier and as it is a major tourist trap, we were having problems keeping the car free of bods with camera phones :(
I may get paid. My wife is the main writer on these assignments (and she is a pretty good photographer too). My role is to write the technical reviews and to also take some shots along with her. What she sells is the writing. For most clients we also send some pics just in case they want to buy those too - the bigger guys often opt for stock stuff as they already have deals but smaller mags or web based publications do quite like to buy the "package".

In the second series of photos I like #1 - it looks very sexy from that angle but agree with FrankC about the general composition. In shots 1, 2 & 3 the front wheel gap looks a bit much - maybe the front raise/lift button was left on?

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
The article that my wife and I did on the Lamborghini Gallardo has just come out online
http://www.automotivetraveler.com/in...age&Itemid=194
There are 2 articles, first one by Mrs LL and the second by me. They used lots our shots including most of mine of the car (the motion shots are stock).
I am so pleased about this - just had to share it with you. It's my first published bit of writing :D :D :D
