One from a while back at Knockhill. 911 stalled coming out of the hairpin and had trouble re-starting. When it did re-start there was so much flames coming out of the back, the marshall ran towards the car to warn the driver but the car got going just fine:

Took this jet car pic a few years ago. I was up on the line and got to looking around before he launched and I noticed I was the only one up there. His pit crew was hunkered down over by the fence in hand grenade mode and I thought "This is not good" but it was ok, no burnt body parts, LOL.

The only way this shot could get any better was if it had 3 wheels off the ground and was doing a backflip with the driver giving the thumbs up out the window. That would only be a marginal improvement though! Awesome shot thanks for sharing!!

Don't ask me how many attempts it took me get a shot I was satisfied with. Or how long I stood in that one particular turn just wishing and waiting for the cars to brake like hell, downshift, and pray they shot flames. I call it luck!

I can't compete with the dragster shots :shock:, but here are two shots I took a couple of weeks ago at the Zolder circuit in Belgium. Not razor sharp, but I like the backfire.

This happened at Castle Combe on the 31/8/09. The porker had been smoking most of qualifying then this happened, it took the driver nearly a lap to stop at a marshal post to have the fire put out.

Yeah, the driver was fine. The explosion was over in an instant, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time with my camera.
