Went down to the marina on my lunch hour today. It was windy and about to rain--tide was out. Not much activity--and then this guy flew in.
He struggled for awhile with this crab--finally lost it and a mature bird grabbed it. Needless to say--the older bird did not have the same problem. ;)

Great shot. I watched with glee a mature gull steal a package of graham crackers off a car windshield...only to realize I could have taken a photo of it if I wasn't so enthralled with his behavior.

He really had a devil of a time. :lol: I was just about to leave because the birds were so far out because of the tide. Almost missed him.

That is an awesome catch!!!!

Some are feeling sorry for the gull, however, I am cheering for the crab, who is fighting for his life! :D

Then again, maybe the crab is yelling to his buddies "Hey guys, look what I caught!!!
