Well it was my first time shooting during an event. I did it for free, just to get an idea how it feels to shoot around large amount of people. I'll be shooting a wedding in two months so I have to practice a lot. I'm looking for a chance to second shoot a wedding or more free events, like birthdays, baptism, etc. C&C welcome

these are great shots! don't know how/why i'm the first to comment on them! anyhow, how are they lit, with bounce flash? the subjects eyes are really dark and empty in a couple of them, maybe a card on the flash would help add a catch light. just a thought, don't know how they were lit.

also, that backdrop is amazingly featureless! its kind of the same tone as the skin but still works. all in all i think these are great captures of the event.

I like them, but find the colour a little off in all of them--Is your backdrop/wall really pink? Should be easy to fix though... Thanks for sharing and good luck with your upcoming wedding shoot.

#5 is a winner. Great shot.

Michael Bottoms: Pink? Holy cow, my monitor must be WAY off. BG looks like a cream color and actually leaning toward GREEN rather than pink! One of our monitors are way off. Or, in fact, I AM color blind!

Thanks a lot guys. The background was a kind of yellow, but I forgot to bring gels to correct my flash under fluorescent light. My first lesson learned was that I should never go out without my gels again!!!
I'll have a couple of Quincianeras before that wedding, so I'll keep posting.

I think you've done really well. Nice use of light. A different background would have been nice to add a little colour and movement.
