Feedback on photography seminars

Tareq http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=670701&page=2 was talking about a seminar that he is attending and I was interested in his comments.

Was wondering how others had found them to be, are any of them worthwhile or a waste of time/money or somewhere in between.

Or could that same information be found somewhere within this huge dark hole known as the WWW?

I find them worthwhile. The value of meeting with others, looking at photographs, getting feedback on your work and then taking that into the field and shooting to be very beneficial. The ones I have taken have been in-person classes and I paid $$ for them.

I went to one in Denver and the whole thing was basically a big commercial for products they sold or their sponsors sold. There was no real helpful information or anything, it was a huge waste of time and I left halfway through and went home. I can't remember which one it was though.
