Just wondering how peoples SLR bags/cases are set up? I recently tried to arrange mine (lowepro AW magnum) so that I could keep my 70-200 f4L on my 300D all the time. I also have what is listed below in my signature, plus 4 filters, a hard sided CF case, and a battery grip in the main compartment. The 3 exterior pockets are filled as well with misc. pieces of equipment.

My problem is this: I am looking to buy a 300 f4L in the near future and then a 20D at some point after that. I realize that once I have both I will need a second bag, but right now, it seems odd that a $200 CDN bag will only hold 2 small lenses, some filters, body, grip and a telephoto......I am not even sure I will be able to fit the 300 f4L in as it is now.

Anyone with this same bag, find it decievingly small despite how it appears on the exterior?

I do know that I NOW need two camera bags. I want to use one bag just for flash, batteries, charges, flash accessories (like LSII, Lumiquest schtuff), and remotes (PocketWizards, Pre-Release, flash synch cables etc). The take up a lot of bag space that could be used for lenses.

Probably go with a Nova bag for those.

Interested to hear what other people do with their gear as well.

Right now I use a Lowe Toploader for everything. It only allows 1 lens at a time. I carry the other in a padded soft case in the "shoe" compartment of a Worth bag (baseball bat bag, but cheaper and way better built than most tripod bags I've found, and fits the 3021pro/322rc2 bogen combo). :D

Blower, flash stuff, microfiber cloths, cleaner, cables, a filter or two, 20D manual, CF-USB adapter, 2-3 extra batteries, and 20D with grip and either the 70-200 or 17-40 fit in the Lowe. Only problem is the hood for the 17-40 doesn't fit- too wide.

I'm looking seriously at a Mountainsmith Lumen (or Paragon if you REALLY need space) to take care of the 2nd lens and a newly acquired used 550ex flash. I'll be doing work in pretty rugged terrain and need something that holds up to abuse. Should have it in around Thursday next week.
