yes if there is no hood attached to the lenses (reversed or forward).

I would say 40D+tamron1750+ (430exII *OR* 85mm) Will fit comfortably. You may fit all the above, it will be crammed up in a 5MDH. I would also consider a 6MDH for what you have with a little room to grow...

I can fit my XSi, 70-200 f4 IS, and 17-55 IS.
I know of another user -- who has shown me pictures -- who has done my kit AND the 430 (XSi turned sideways).
So I'd say it depends more on how big the 85 is relative to the 70-200...

Yeah, not a problem. Just carried my 40D with 11-16, 430EX, and nifty.

My normal configuration for my 5MDH home is my 20D, with Tamron 17-50 mounted-- hood reversed, my 580EXII in the case, and in the center section, laying horizontally, my 100mm Macro.
