I'm liking it so far just so many settings to get used to. All these are 300+1.4tc.
1. This guy had some nasty stuff. Complete game, 3 hitter.

Man those images are crisp. Beautiful. I guess you really need a prime lens to get the images like that, right?

Very nice! I can see my 70-200 is going to seriously limit the range of shots available to me. Thanks for posting. Great work.

Dan, 1 and 3 are fantastic! I really like your ex[posure nightmare shot as well. Lift the shadows a bit under his lid, and I think it's great. Well done. That tc works so well on the long prime, doesn't it? I have an NCAA game tomorrow night. My first baseball this season. Hope I can match these results. Well done bud.

Thanks guys!

Not a must but there is a reason they cost what they do.
Very nice! I can see my 70-200 is going to seriously limit the range of shots available to me.
If the exposure and focus is good then the whole infield will be in range. Out field will be pretty useless. Here is a few from the 70-200. I didn't shoot much with my other body.

He is actually a Junior. Almost all the best players are Juniors and one Sophomore.
Wayne Rooney gets about, doesn't he?
Didn't know who that was but after Googling , yes he does look like him.

Some nice shots. I should try 1.4xTC on my 300mm f2.8 IS.
Dan - where you typically shoot when using 1.4xTC. I was trying around the dugout areas and I found 300mm more than enough and was cutting off parts of the pitcher as they pitch. Now I have tried another field where I have used my 500mm. Are high schoold fields different sizes?

I use the TC more then i don't. There really is very little to no image degradation with that lens and TC combo. I think 420mm is a little long for a single body but I had my 70-200 on my MIIn also. At least with the 300+1.4 I can get the stuff in the outfield. This is pretty deep right center field from the 3rd base line.

Awsome shots! I have a 70-200 f/2.8. Will the 1.4 TC work well. I don't (can't) spend on getting a 400 or 500 lens right now but I can get a TC.

The 1.4 works great on the 70-200. Go for it!

So if I put that on my canon 40d will I see results like what you have .
I am so close to buying this lens...but might upgrade camera first....
I have the sigma 70-200 with the 1.4 tc....now.
