whenever I get lucky, I mess up

Spring finally came around here, and so did the birds to my feeder. Been keeping an eye on it, nothing but house sparrows, and the occasional cardinal (the goldfinches always play around in front of the house, but I've never seen one at the feeder). Anyway, today, to my surprise, a Red Winged Blackbird came to have some food :).... and of course I messed up the shot. It only stayed for a few seconds though

These are nice shots. The rwb is just a tad underexposed. I pushed the gamma up a bit, darkened the shadows, added some saturation and just a touch of contrast. It still needs a little tweaking - I left it a bit light to keep the detail in the face:

Thanks for the comments guys. Tupe, it's the detail on the belly that I'm missing. Nothing's gonna bring that back... still, it came once, maybe it'll come again. :)

The sparrow is good picture-it doesn't matter if it's a "common" bird or plain. Look at how neat it is that you can see the different feather types on him.
