WOW, there is some nice work on that site. I'm not sure how to make the slide shows, but thanks for the link.

A number of packages from Adobe After Effects to Proshow Producer (maybe Gold). Powerpoint hasn't a snowflakes chance in hell of producing anything like that ;). Some shows use Pseudo 3D which is something AE can do and not Proshow.

If you use After Effects then you can get this stuff to help, they use similar in the presentations:

They also use other graphics design elements such as calligraphic ornaments which are readily available from Shutterstock if you can't use Illustrator. Aridi also sell similar calligraphic ornaments as well. Grunge backgrounds are something you can do yourself in Photoshop (or any other editor) all you need is a camera and patience to find some old fabric around such as brickwork, paper, concrete etc. Again VideoCopilot offer a package with textures and effects.

You'll also need access to well written stock music as well, which has been posted about on this site. Alternatively you could contact some local bands...

My pleasure, I will warn you If you go the After Effects route you will need a powerful system with a lot of RAM. Especially when you go the pseudo 3D route, also it's probably one of the hardest packages I've ever come across to learn!

This said it's probably one of the industry standards for when it comes to video compositing, it's just a bit over the top for this in many ways! :D

That's a very cool presentation. A service I recently started using is animoto.
It's a pretty slick program.
