If anyone has considered a qualification in Photography then The Royal Photographic Society is a really goodd starting point. Its no biscuit walk but the rewards are worth all the effort :D

Congratulations Glen - you have a very good panel there. Have you considered going for the CPAGB as well?

CPAGB? Err not heard of that one. Although I've been told that once you have one you can get accepted in others. I will have to wait until I have all the paperwork.

Glen,
The PAGB is the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and is the co-ordinating body for all the regional photographic federations under which all recognised camera clubs, etc, are affiliated. Here in the North West we have the L&CPU (Lancashire & Cheshire Photographic Union) as our regional federation - other areas have their own, eg Southern Counties.
The PAGB award their own photographic distintions and you don't have a membership fee to cough up, merely the panel fee upon submission - http://www.pagb-photography-uk.co.uk/.
Their awards, particularly the CPAGB and the DPAGB, are becoming more and more popular among photographers in the UK. Have a look and see what you think. With the LRPS under your belt the CPAGB should be fairly straightforward.
Hope this helps,
Barry
