I used them without issue. There are some threads around Vista Print billing you for unexpected charges. Here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=407097&highlight=vista+prints+business+cards) is an example

I've used them more than a few times for business cards, postcards, and a few other items and never had a problem. I'd say over 10 orders total at least.

vista prints has horribale quality... Try www.overnightprints.com much better quality for still a pretty low price or www.moderpostcard.com if you want true quality.

I've used vista print with no problems. They do try to up-sell you, which I find really obnoxious, but after a few "nos" they stopped. I'm happy with the products I got from them.

Use them all the time. Just received an order last week and I am going to place another tonight.

You do have to go through several screens selecting no thank you but the price and service is always very good.

My wife uses them all the time for free stuff. The try to slip in a bunch of add-ons during the checkout process, and inattentive folks might inadvertently accrue additional charges... but thus far she's gotten a whole lot of stuff essentially for free.

I've used VistaPrints twice. Quality is decent for the price. They do sell you relentlessly which is obnoxious. Mostly, search the web for discounts. The same products can be had for much less than the site's price if you go in through one of the sale ads.

To avoid all these hassles just go to your local printer and have this done.. I agree you might pay a few extra dollars but the customer service and supporting your local community is worth it.

I used them once for business cards and some other personalized office supplies. I didn't have any troubles.

Mpix does business cards too and that's who I'll use next time since I'm so happy with their other services.

Got some free business cards from them last year. Paid around $3 shipping for 250 cards. Quality is alright. Do not recall getting spam but have heard bad stories about them.

Last fall I had them do 10 calendars for me which turned out beautifully. Assembly, delivery etc. took about 10 business days but I was not in a hurry and planned accordingly.

I agree with T.D. that you do get a bit barraged for upselling as you're ready to place the order, but when I looked at some of the quantity price breaks it actually made more sense to increase the size of the order slightly. And with a coupon I found online, it cut the price 50% and gave me free shipping.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but for calendars they did a fine job. I never got any spam. - Stu

i use vista print, every month. post cards, business cards, magnets, signs, forget the hats & tee's, crappy.

never regretted ordering.

locally, a $25 vista would cost me $200 for full scale image on card printing each order.

I disagree with you guys. I've ordered from them four times within the past two years. Business cards, a shirt, and magnets. Never any issues. Really inexpensive, and good quality. Their phone support is near top notch, and not offshore. You do have to be wary of their offers, and as I recall during the checkout process you do have to wait while they give you a chance to order something else. But if your patient, and can read, the process works. I will certainly use them again.

BTW, here is another negative thread on the:

http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=500859

But, as I have said, they work well for me, I design my own cards in Photoshop, and supply them with the artwork.

If you search right here on POTN, over the past couple years you will see many posts about VistaPrints engaging in a scam of placing bogus charges on customer's credit cards. Many people have experienced it. It would not surprise me that they were involved in a spam scam. Because of the things I have read about VP over the years, I have stayed far away from them. I use overnight prints.

I used them once a little over six months ago and the business cards I ordered from them came with a white line on the left edge of every card. They were obviously printed incorrectly. I didn't hassle with a return because the order was very inexpensive and it just wasn't worth the hassle. I did, however, get put on their e-mail list and now I receive an unusually high amount of e-mail from them every single day.

I use vistaprint all the time. I've had business cards, postcards, rack cards, magnets, pens, tote bags, small photo "flip" books, tshirts, and hats all through vistaprint.

I wasn't too thrilled with the shirts or hats, and the magnets seemed a little flimsy but the postcards and rack cards were fantastic.

Just pay attention when you're checking out to avoid any sneaky "add-ons." They're cheap, so just make a small order and see how you like them.

Most businesses, at least the ones that are ethical, have those "sneaky add-ons" default to off. Apparently, Vista Prints does not. Why people would want to do business with a company that may be unethical is beyond me. I certainly don't.

Anyone with minimal Photoshop skills and an inkjet printer can produce their own business cards right at home. There are many, many types of pre-perforated blank business card papers available at office supply stores that work in the most basic of home printers. With a photo printer, it's even possible to create photo business cards.

The nice thing about printing your own cards at home is you can print only what you need, rather than ordering 500 or 1000 which is usually the minimum order. It makes it easier to change the design, or any of the information on the card...

It's as simple as clicking a radio box to say "no" to whatever is they're trying to sell you. That's not unethical to me...

I tried to order business cards through vista print a couple months ago. They charged my card almost immediately and two months later no cards...I emailed a couple times, finally got one back saying they canceled my order due to some difficulty that was not my fault, and would refund me my money in 30-60 days.....I was not happy, and they refused to answer my question as to why they canceled and charged my card before shipping.

interesting read...

i have been using Vista Print about once every two months for the past 5 years...

only had one issue where UPS misplaced an order... i was supposed to receive a batch of cards on wednesday in time for a friday trade show... i called them wednesday afternoon about it and they overnight shipped me my order... on that friday, UPS delivered my order... the following monday, i called Vista Print back to find out if i had to send the original late order back, and offered to pay for the additional cards, but they waived any additional charges and told me to keep the extra order... essentially, i ended up with 2,000 business cards for the price of 1,000...

i network like no tomorrow so i will go through a box of 500 cards in a couple months, so it has worked out for me...

i don't bother with the free cards though and just use the constant promo codes they email me for their premium cards...

i design all my cards, business cards and flyers, on photoshop and just upload a final graphic, and have had no quality issues...

:D

There is some mis-information in some of these posts, All the promotional and add-ons that VP tries to sell you is not defaulted to YES, in fact just the opposite.

I agree it is annoying to go through the check-out process with all the extras they try to sell you but you must actually choose to purchase the items so I don't really have a problem with it.

I have been using them for many different things I have needed printed over the past 10 years and have never had a problem, quality is good, prices are ridiculously low.

One very cool thing about VP is that they keep all your old orders on file, you can go back and change your designs and re-order anytime. I still have items in my VP account that go back 10 years...no kidding.

I have to say that I love them too. I've ordered business cards, post cards (small and large), and even a yard sign (only wanted one!).

I've been more than happy with quality and integrity.

I especially love the few times I've had to call them, all my CSRs were in Jamaica! The accent gets me and they laugh when I ask if I can just come down and tell them my problem in person!

I just had a batch of cards from them and they're awful quality ... printing is unclear and feint

lowrider
13th of October 2009 (Tue), 13:06
Feint???

Feint is a French term that entered English from the discipline of fencing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fencing).[] Feints are maneuvers designed to distract or mislead, done by giving the impression that a certain maneuver will take place, while in fact another, or even none, will. In military tactics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_tactics) and many types of combat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat), there are two types of feints: feint attacks and feint retreats.
