Im going to be taking photos for a local band this weekend. I have been scouring looking for ideas and have a few. This will be done so some of them can be converted over to black and white for thier info sheets and sent to the venues that they play at. Any ideas would be great. I have 3 ab800's, various stands, 1 large softbox, 2 umbrellas.

thanks in advance

If you let us in on what a few of those ideas are, maybe we can better help you out? Otherwise, you'll just have to move the lights around & shoot until you get something that looks good.
One of my shoots:

this is just an info sheet photo shoot, its not at a venue. I am going to their studio where they practice and setting up to take basically a portrait of the band. Sorry I didnt really make that clear. There is 7 of them. 2 female singer, a male singer, 3 male band members and a female band member.

Was just hoping for ideas like placement of people within the frame. I have some ideas but if anyone knows of any good ideas im all ears.

Thanks again for looking

What kind of music?
Metal or Folk make for a different image ;)

When you say studio: Recording or photography? One might make an interesting background, the other probably means white seamless...

If it is in a concert hall, make sure you have permission from them, obviously written, otherwise the bouncers will bounce you back out
