Ok, so both of us (husband and wife) worked this one - he is relatively "new" (about 1 year of wedding experience but 25 years of sports/motorsports experience). He did a lot of the poses (many based on my style) and I lugged the off-camera strobe.

I think he did a great job... but we're looking for picky critique... be honest!

#3 we missed her hair coming out from under his head, so no fair commenting about that! :)

#4 would love to know if you guys think this processing "works". I think it's very magazine/glamour like... and some would think it's way over-processed...

#7 interesting angle here... looks like they are in a meadow, but they aren't....

#8 I will say on this one, this is a "saved" shot... very passionate but he was using the 200mm telephoto and it was dark. Settings were like 1/40th f2.8 and even with the image stabilization he got some movement blur... I personally think the processing makes it look edgy and the entire shot being blurry/high contrast, etc. really makes the shot work.. what do you think?

Great looking couple!

in #2, however, his expression is weird, I know he's probably squinting but it looks like he doesn't really like his fiancee. just IMO.:)

I think glow is overdone a tad, it's in almost every photo, I like the last image a lot inspite of motion blur but it'd be much better if it all had been b/w..again IMO.:)

I agree with the comment above about the glow.
These are great though; I love the last one.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Will take the "glow" comments into consideration - that has kind of developed into our "style" (dreamy/glowy PP) but we know we have to vary our PP too.

svetlana, you are right about his expression in #2. Unfortunately he is very sensitive to light and we fought that the entire time... every shot in this series he squinted on... but we just couldn't pass up this shot just based on her expression and the contrast between the wall, their clothes, and the cool sky...

Funny that you guys like the last one... my finger was "this close" to deleting it within 2 seconds of seeing it. And the bride just left our office after seeing that one for the first time and she LOVED it.

Excited to see more comments!!

If glow is your style - keep it! There's lots of people who like glow, the bottomline is you produce images that your client like, right? :)

Yes, but there's something to be said about being able to vary our work - if a client doesn't like glow then we need to still make them happy! :)

#1 i would have posed them differently. I would have posed her in a more "feminine" pose even though it's just her silhouette. Her angle almost makes her look pregnant. Put her other hand on her hips and turn her body more to "slim" her. Maybe put his other hand in his pocket with a little air between his body and arm so that it looks like he has 2 arms.

I like #8 the best.

#1 Exposure is is spot on but I agree with the person above... her pose could be a little bit more feminine. #2 Composition, exposure, tone are all lovely but his expression is a little angry. It probably would be so if his arms weren't crossed or if he had a little smile. #3 You can clone that hair out from behind his head. Honest, yet funny mistake!. Her smile is unsure. His face is perfect. #4 I agree with you that this might seem a tad overprocessed. You could bring it down a notch. Although my main concern would be the consistency in your style. I like this polished ethereal look. I wonder how the client responded to this particular image. #6 This one makes me think that she is pregnant because of where his hand is.
Overall exposure and composition are not a problem for you. I would work on consistency in the editing process and work on making the clients a little more comfortable.
