A very mild start, almost doesn't look like an HDR.

That's a very nice image, and I like the subtle processing. Was this from a single RAW file or did you shoot bracketed exposures?

Yes it was from a single RAW exposure.I didn't have any bracketed shots.Funny HDR comes along since the current digital technology can't handle the dynamic range of many shots, much less be as accurate or forgiving as the human eye.
I keep reading you should upgrade now to a new prime camera, but I'm waiting for the HDR software technology to sneak into DSLR's.Not only that but combine it with increased depth of field also. It's coming there's no question at all about that, just a matter of who does it first. It probably won't be Nikon or Canon either, there still too busy in the megapixel race.It could even be(and I'm really going out on a limb here) Sigma, who have now bought out Foveon. They have some room to take a few chances.
I look at it this way,its just like photography. If you always shoot the same thing you'll always get the same thing. Its all about trying new things and taking a few chances.I sure do wish Canon would take that bold next step, and veer off onto a new path.
Just think, there's a lot of people out there who have never even heard of HDR.So we're already ahead of the game, daring to try something new.
Now all I have to do is decide which software to get:Photomatix,FDRTools,DynamicPhoto,or even Picturenaut !
