I was testing out the my 420 flash at 90degrees with a rubberband and biz card. :cool:

So much better then direct flash don't you think. Color balance looks a little off on my screen, but other wise looks good. Auto white balance always makes my bounce flash look a little on the red side too. I started using the custom WB setting (the big "K") and set it in the menu since most of my shots where the same type of lighting. Then the corrections are more minor in post processing but really I guess it doesn't matter if shooting raw anyway.

Damn, that is a sweet shot. On my screen the color balance looks perfect though. I absolutely love the first picture. Your shots have tempted me to buy one of those flashes myself.

That technique with the card certainly seems to work well. Was it a big card - surely not a little standard-sized biz card?

Here's the 3 cent rig. ;) I bought the Stofen omnibounce and i dont like it as much, and this was cheaper.

I can't judge color balance myself, as im color blind

The only thing about using the biz card is if you're next to a wall, you still get some harsh shadows... Not a big deal if you position your subject properly.
