I'm concerned and worried that it might be a scratch also :/ I thought it may be feathers at first because I was taking peacock feather shots but even after sensor cleaning and blowing cold air through it hasn't disappeared.

Here's a sample of what my images are looking like

I heard it costs about £30 to get it fixed from a camera shop I was wondering if I can do it myself, any advice folks?

That's much too sharply in focus to be on your lens.
Clean your sensor some more, you've missed a spot.

Ah ok so it's the sensor!

I just recently got myself a squeeze bulb air blower, and some CMOS swabs - and it was worth every penny!

Yep, it's the sensor. Stuff in your lens will be so OOF as to be invisible.

Here's a good overview of sensor cleaning: http://www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com/methods.html

and here's a good tutorial: http://www.copperhillimages.com/index.php?pr=tutorials

I use the Copperhill kit for wet cleaning. First you can try a bulb blower like the Giottos Rocket Blower.

I found your problem - you're dividing your focal length by 0! That's mathematically undefined and will cause weird problems!

(Look at the EXIF, it shows f/0.0) :)
