Hi all - this printer has been fine for six months but then mid-print (i.e this started happening halfway through one print), it has gone very light. I have tried all different profiles, different paper and have put in a whole new set of Canon ink tanks. Basically, the prints just seem to be way too light. I have done full nozzle cleans and even printed from a different computer to remove the chance of a corrupt profile. I use a Spider Elite monitor calibrator but like I said, the issue started mid-print so I am sure its a fault with the machine.
Any ideas?
Many Thanks
Kevin

I too had the 9500 and experienced the same issue. It seems that this printer isn't the best in regards to reliability. I ended up contacting Canon and they walked me through some trouble-shooting which did not resolve the issue. In the end, I shipped it back to them and they sent me a voucher to purchase another one from Best Buy and everything was back to normal. I haven't been printing on it much lately but theres no sign of the problem returning yet.

Thanks Derek - I'll give them a call and see what they say. I hope I don't have to post it off as its HUGE and HEAVY. Thanks again. Kevin

If you do have to ship it back...make sure you tell the representative that you speak with to send you a Postage Paid sticker and it should cover it. Lastly I forgot to ask you, is your's still under manufacture warranty? Hopefully it is, because if not, your basically on your own.

Thanks Derek - it is under warranty and actually, Canon have arranged for an engineer to come out to me tomorrow so hopefully it will get sorted. Thanks again, I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, the nice man from Canon came and it turned out to be a dodgy connection between the grey ink tank and the printer. So, even though the ink was full, the printer thought it wasn't.
Fixed now - thanksfully.
Cheers again,
Kevin
