tell me about your SX1

I'm interested in the SX1.

If you have one, what can you tell me about it?

If you have one and a DSLR (I'm drooling over the EOS 50D currently), how does it compare for the novice?

Is it a good back up to have?

(I'm looking at saving for 85 weeks for the EOS 50D. So, I'm wondering if the SX1 is a good half way camera.)

I'd also love to see same sample shots of birds (especially small ones, like a chickadee) and chipmunks.


As well as the moon. Just using the camera.
