The first swan is blown out too much (swans are tough) and cropped too tight. The first seagull is a *great* pose but too soft. It looks like you cropped too much (but why crop the top wingtip if you did??)

The second seagull is very nice. I like it. (Though again, if you cropped you cropped a little too much IMHO.)

The second swan is excellent. I like this one quite a lot. Good job.


On another note, the wide black of the border doesn't do anything for me, though I like the combo with the off-white stripe. The second swan needs to be a bit smaller - I can't see the whole thing on my screen - and the off-white doesn't work here becuase it's B&W I think.

Wow scottes... Amazing feedback. I never realized that the first picture was washed out but your right it is. I did over do it a bit on the cropping and will look out for that next time. Your right I didn't mean to clip the wing on the soft seagle but I liked the shot so much I didn't mind it being soft.

I attached my fav photo.... and next time I will go easy on the large borders...
