Hello Everyone!

I recently was given a second lcd moniter that my sister doesn't use anymore.

How do I hook it up to my existing computer and moniter? Does it hook up to the computer or the moniter?

Are any special cables needed?

I thank you very much for any help!

You should be able to hook it up to the back of your computer, but if your computer doesn't support it then you would have to add some hardware..

If your video card has the right dual outputs, then you should be able to connect two monitors on 1 video card. Otherwise, you will have to get another video card. Older cards may have 1 DVI 1 VGA output. Newer cards i've seen are mostly 2 DVIs. Of course, it will vary according to the video card specs. If the card has dual outputs, you should be able to download the appropriate software from the manufacturer for dual monitor support.
Hope this helps.

Can anyone suggest a video card that supports two monitors? Something from Newegg?

i dont know how much power you are looking to get, but for $36, you cant go wrong.

if you want something with a little more UMPH, this thing will power through anything you throw at it.

i have used countless 8400GS's, and they definately pull their weight as a dual monitor solution.
