Hi there

I'm kind of new to this world of digital photography (not to mention photography it self). Anyway I just got my new v3 camera, I was very impressed by everything, but I've spotted a dead pixel on the CCD (not sure is that the right tecnical world for it), when ever the picture is taken there'll always be a white pixel at (1639, 416). Is this a fault? Should I take my camera back to the shop? Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks

Yes,
I have a hot pixel in my Ixus 330 too.
But that is no problem: when I print the photo's you do not see the hot pixel (one pixel is to small to print). But if you download the program PixelZap from internet you can eliminate this hot pixel by letting PixelZap scan the photo. It gives the pixel the color of the pixels around it. You do not see the hot pixel anymore then.
But the best is to go back to the shop and give your camera back, best change it out with an other one.
Succes.

Hello;

I just bought a Canon S230 and I noticed a red pixel in the center of my display. This is only there when the camera is switched on to picture taking mode. It is not there when in view mode. Worse, when I print the photos the red pixel is right there smack in the middle. Can any one tell me whether I have a defect or a setting problem. Thanks.
