Hey everyone,

I am ready to setup a photography website. I have a specific look I want in my head, but would like to see a few examples of similar sites to see how they flow. I could click through all the sites here, but hope this will speed up the browsing process.

First, I am not a big fan of flash, so please no flash heavy sites

Here is what I am looking for:

Home page is simple and clean, with ONE (Larger) static image that catches the viewers attention.

Simple headers leading the view to the pages in the site.

Flow, with all pages set up the same (colour/headers)

Would also prefer something that is not a template (or something that looks like all the other sites) I hope to have this built from scratch, but I am not totally opposed to a template type site if it looks like what I am looking for.

Basically, I am looking for a simple, clean professional looking site.

Looking forward to having a look at what you have set up.

Thanks

Parm

That may help your creative processes ;) My own site meets much of your criteria but not all.

Parmcat, I would recommend that you just build your site the way you like. I understand that you would like to see what others are doing, but I think that its somewhat better to build off your vision and then tweak later. Just my advice.

Be unique, set it up the way you see it and just like photography you can crop out what is extra.

Some ppl seem to like it, but I'm always looking for that next design.

I think my site fits your description. It uses the free zenphoto gallery software. Although it is based on a template (PHP), I edited it to suit my taste. My goal was to have an exceedingly simple site where the photos take center stage and navigation is dead-simple.

There is one problem with the navigation. If you drill down into a sub-gallery, the only way out is back to the main gallery. My PHP skills are weak, and I'm not sure how to solve it.
