I think they are great, crisp shots! The eyes are awesome in both - did you pp or no?

What a handsome little guy!

I love my 50 1.8 and found that if I want both eyes in focus I need to open up more, to may be f/2.2-2.8 otherwise you get a photo with only 1 eye sharp IMO. Unless of course you make sure the eyes are on one line. I still struggle with it, and it's a great lens otherwise!

This is a great lens that provide crispness like no other. I find this lens has a tendency to make people crop too tightly. So be careful and happy shooting!

Thanks Allison, yes, I did a little retouching in the 1st one, just pp his eye on the right so it would be in focus too :)

Yes, I shot at 1.8 and one eye kept getting blury... Otherwise, I'm loving that lens!
