Does anyone know if the Pocket-Wizard MultiMax Transceiver will allow you to turn individual lights on and off from the camera location's transceiver? In other words, I have two lights and would like the ability to turn one on or off and use only one remote light; can the MultiMax talk to the remotes in the fashion? Thanks, Dan.

If you are asking whether the MultiMax in Tranmit mode can individually trigger two flashes connected to two different MultiMaxes in Receive mode, the answer is yes. You will have to set each receiver to a different zone, though. You then need to set your trasnmitter to the zone(s) you want to fire. It's all explained in page 20 of the MultiMax manual if you need more specific details on how to do it.

Okay, thank you. A follow-up if I may (I don't own one but am thinking of upgrading) if I may:

So you can fire each one individually if assigned different zone and control that functionality from the camera transmitter (transceiver). The last question is: can you tell the remotes to fire both zones so both flashes fire?

Thanks,
Dan

Yes. You actually establish which zones TO fire. If you do not want a zone to fire, you remove it from the "Master" transmitter.

The Multimax's are great. I own two of them and a Sekonics Lightmeter w/transmitter. This allows me to fire from the lightmeter.
