Ok, this will be the first photo I'll be posting. Having that in mind, and knowing I'm a complete amateur in photography, here it goes.

Some months ago I started playing with my Nytech 4M camera. Using a flashlight and the 10 second exposure time of my camera, I went to my bathroom (the 'dark room') and here's the result.

And yes, Ana is a very special person in my life... ;)

Camera: Nytech ND-4000
Settings: 10 second exposure time

I used one of those pocket flashlights that look like a pen. Then, in 10 seconds, I wrote the letters in the air (mirror inverted), turning the flashlight on and off. After three or four trys the result was that!

The joys of playing with a penlight and a camera. Here's one using pendular motion and two lights.

imposter,
A string was attached to a point on the ceiling with a small white penlight at the other end, tied to that a was another short string with a red penlight. Set the camera on the ground pointing straightup in a dark room. Swung the penlight/string chain in an arc and took the shot.

Thanks!

I hope to be posting more regularly somewhen in the future, after I buy the Canon 20D...but I'm still in the process of choosing a cheap European shop that HAS GOT the camera...

I'v been working on this kinda stuff for a while now. While I'm not using a light to create the whole picture through the use of shapes or words, I have been trying to use it to add to the frame, or "highlight" the central object, or simply add some light charactaristics to the frame.

all of the following where shot on a 300d @ 30 seconds on shutter priority mode.
