Wide gamut rgb

What is that all about? Having stopped using the RAW Editor of Photoshop Elements 6, I stumble across this in the conversion option of DPP.

I know roughly it is about a wider amount of colors, but should I be using this option to save my Jpegs?

I would guess it's their term for ProPhoto color space which is a wider gamut than either the sRGB and aRGB.

If you look at DPP's help content, it states that it's a wider gamut than aRGB. But not much else.
