Anyone have experience of Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DV vs Tamron AF18-200 F3.5-6.3 XR Di II.

I am looking for a cheap walk around lens with 28-300mm with 350D after 1.5 factor.

They've both only recently been released. I'm not sure if $400 is "cheap" in your book which is how much the Tamron and the Sigma goes for too. The f3.5-6.3 isn't the greatest. Most 75-300 zooms are f4-5.6

I have the Sigma 18-125mm DC lens and I love mine, and at $260 bucks I can't find any fault in the lens.

With that said I love mine enough that I would likely try the Sigma lens in the longer length.

I use the 18-125mm as my general walk around lens tne the length is awesome IMO.

Thanks for the link.

Checked the web site. It seems thumb up for the Sigma from corner to corner, edge to dege, sharpness or even the distortion.;)

Not to mean that, just compare to Ls, it seem cheap.

Can Simga fit in EF mount?

Or must EF-s Mount?

I just went to my dealer, they told me that, it will fit with EF mount but they are no good for FF DSLR because the image is only big enough for 1.3 or up corp factor.

Heard from an other forum that the Tamron 18-200mm suffers from major CA.
