Here is one that I took of my new Daughter Sydney. I did some adjustments in lightroom and then off to Silver Efex Pro. Please tell me what you think. I am always nervous about posting here, at the same time I want to get better too. Please be honest.

wow I think you captured such a sweet moment and I LOVE the angle. I am not sure if it was what you were going for or not, but it looks a little grainy to me, but other than that, I absolutely LOVE it. She is precious!

I had to bump up the ISO so i just went with the grainy look. I could always try to run noise ninja on the original and see if i can get a cleaner looking image.

I love the shot. Has a classic nostalgic look. Personally I don't mind the grain and would probably not run NR if it were me. I might be inclined to increase the levels a tad, or maybe just the luminance of the red/yellow/orange in LR as it looks a little muddy, but I also think it works as is.
This would make a great announcement card or a canvas print.

I love the composure of the pic...the angle works. I also like the grainy look...it gives it a nostalgic look. Congratulations on the new baby!

great capture! my only crit would be to bump up the curves a little or something as it feels slightly under exposed to me... the nostalgic look is great though IMO
My wife and I have a little one on the way (6 months to go) and i was wondering what focal length you are using here? (this is my version of preparing for a baby :-)

Congratulations on the new baby! The grain is okay, but this image is very muddy. Push the highlights up a bit more. I wouldn't use Noise Ninja for this either.
