Ok, this isn't the usual sensor clean question...
Today I set my 20D to sensor clean in the menu, and the mirror popped up as it should, but this time the camera would make an intermittant beep, and the top LCD would flash "CLEAN". This almost seems like it's normal, but the thing is it's never done that before.
Is this normal?

EDIT:
Solved the problem. The battery indicator was on half, so that is why it was beeping.
When I put in a fresh battery, the beeping goes away. I guess the LCD always flashed "CLEAN" but I just never noticed. You learn something new everyday.

Yes, it does flash clean. And as you found out, it beeps when the battery is not full. Funny thing is, I always put mine to clean and then after 10 min or so I check, and it's not any cleaner than it was before? Why have a self cleaning camera if it's not going to work?

yea, you wouldn't want your battery to die and your mirror to come down while you clean the sensor and chop your finger off :D

That image reminds me of a trailer I saw last nite for a new mini series called "Revelations (http://www.nbc.com/Revelations/)".

Try a pressure washer, your fingers will be safe. ;)
