Simple question: Is there a reason why I would need an off-camera shoe cord if I have a wireless flash trigger?

easier to mount to a camera mounted flash bracket than using the wireless triggers.

If I plan on handholding the flash with my left hand? or is that just plain silly?

If you wanted the transmitter away from the camera you'd need an off shoe cord, but a simple sync cord would work just as well. I don't see any real reason to use one for a simple manual radio system.

That's kind of up to you. It would make it less "bulky" as you wouldn't have a flash bracket attached to the camera and you could manuver your flash around all sorts of different ways... though I have never had to do so it may produce more interestingly lit shots.

Though I must say that I like both hands on my camera lol.

If you use the TTL cord then obviously you can do E-TTL flash, with the wireless flash triggers (except the new PWs and RP) you cannot. I have and use both in different purpose. my TTL cord gets to be used most on my macro shots.
