I have heard about the rebates coming out on 4/15 by Canon. Does anyone know how much the rebate is going to be for the Digital Rebel XT?

None.

(I'm not responsible for any inaccuracies in the above statement. But why would Canon offer a rebate on a brand-new camera that many stores have been unable to keep in stock? Last time rebates were offered, the only camera body they applied to was the Rebel, which had been out for over a year.)

The best deals on the XT are to be found at Dell with their sporadic coupon sales. Watch deal sites such as techbargains.com and fatwallet.com, to get informed when new Dell coupon codes are released.

The B&H ad I saw listed only lenses with rebate values. No cameras, digital or film, were showing the little rebate stars.
