eos 350d raw files

a mate of mine has just got a 350d and says that photoshop cs will not read the raw files.
he got the cr2 patch off adobe site still wont read them.do we have a new cr2 file on our hands that is different to the 20d?and is there going to be a new patch out soon for photoshop?

it does need a new patch, I emailed Adobe support about it and received what looked like a stock email reply, "Adobe supply updates 3 or 4 times a year, the 350D requires an updated patch which will be released in the near future, no definite time period can be supplied."

For your info "Rawshooter" which is available as a free download can open/edit the 350D Raw file.
