Good start here & the light on them is pretty good. The backgrounds need work, though. I don't know why you included the wires in #3 & 6? How do they add to the car shot? I'd have shot them both as a horizontal.
OTOH, I think that the wires kind of work in #8, but wish you'd used the same framing & moved the car closer.

reason for only one or two of these shots having the power lines in the background is because they were a little sharper than others....I did not have my tripod with me to keep a steady shot (waiting on my release plate to come back in stock :) ) and so I picked the sharpest ones out of the batch
but thank you very much for your comments...they will help with framing my next photos

I did not have my tripod with me to keep a steady shot EXIF info? Just how dark was it out there, & what camera were you shooting with? It seems as if you could have bumped the ISO up.

I think you can get the EXIF from my flikr i posted a couple posts ^ if you'd like to check it out
I'm sure i could have bumped the ISO to 200 but i think i have too much of a shaky hand...hard for me to keep it dead on some times..
I shoot with an XTi and the kit lens and it was in the late afternoon, skies were trying to clear up from a little rain...so not too dark but not too bright either.

EXIF from my flikr The one I looked at isn't giving it up. shaky hand For a good starting point, first set the f-stop & shutter speed you need for the effect you want. Then the other parameter: f-stop or shutter speed. Then adjust the ISO.
Need an exposure crutch? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=89123)
