Cactus V2 and TTL

I have a 30D and a 580 exII. I dont want to have to learn manual just yet. Can I use the cactus and not lose the ttl. If yes, is there any other options I may have .

Sorry, TTL will not be available with the Cactus. Get yourself another Canon flash and use the 580 as a master or pick up a ST-E2 transmitter if you want TTL. Radiopoppers or the new Pocket Wizards are your other (expensive) options.

Manual isn't as hard as you think. Look at your histogram on your shots to see how your exposure is looking and dial it up or down accordingly. Once you get the hang of it you'll be golden.
