Hiya everyone, I am an Aussie expat living and working in Tokyo.

Owner of a G10 (and loving it) - currently the camera is a major player in my Master's studies.

Great looking forum

I've got a friend in Osaka, who is also learning her new G10.

You guys would have a lot to talk about :D

Thank you for the welcomes!

I am always looking for new friends, Osaka is about 400km away - which is not far with the transport available.

Thank you - I have posted a photo that I took of Mt. Fuji in another section - I will see if I can dig out more that I have taken.

Hello, I am living in Tokyo (well Narita to be precise). Always good to meet other people in Japan who have been bitten by the Canon bug!!!

Very cool, what do you do over there in Nrita?

Spend my weekdays working as an English teacher and then on weekends am working for a New Zealand Automotive magazine shooting motorsport, and tuning car things. Always go out to shoot other things too. Good country for photos in regards to festivals, and such.

If you ever happen to be over Narita way let me know!

Hi Damien,

I'm another Aussie in Tokyo. What are you studying that requires the G10?

BTW / plans for a get together in a month's time (last couple pages are most relevant) and some pics at http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=149388&page=29

Cheers, Tony

Hi Damian,

I am jealous. I love Tokyo!

What made you decide to move there over other destinations though?

tonydee - I hve anoher post hiding somewhere where I mention that I am looking at the radiometric and photmetric properties.

nuffi - I was considering several countries (China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Russia) - Japan was he first country that had a job opening in the field I wanted (Physics teacher) and so, here I am.
