For spring break I'm going to Puerto Rico. I've narrowed it down to 3 locations that I know for sure I'll be going to; the caves, el yunque rainforest, and Old San juan. I have plans to bring either a tripod (going to be delivered tomorrow), and a monopod, but most likely not both, with the tripod weighing about 4 lbs and the monopod weighing about 1.5 lbs. I'm going to be doing a ton of walking. All my other gear is listed below.

My plan is to bring the tripod to the rainforest, where there can be very little sunlight sometimes, and I don't mind carrying around with me. I have been there before but not with my camera, and the birds there are usually very hard to photograph with the setup I have. So I'll be focusing mostly on stationary lizards and insects as well as flowers. Would a fill flash be good for this situation too?

I plan on either bringing no tripod or the monopod to Old San Juan, as I can see the (relatively) large tripod getting in the way of pedestrian traffic, while the monopod will take up relatively little space.

To be honest, I'm not sure what I should do in the caves. I think I might be going on a guided tour, so a tripod might not be available.

If any of you have experience with these areas in Puerto Rico (or any similar situation), feel free to share. I'll take any advice you have.
